Furniture Store//initial ideas
I want to keep my store contemporary and fresh. I decided to call my store inhaus (basing off bauhaus) I really like the bauhaus look and feel so I wanted to incorporate that into my designs. I've posted my original logo ideas, but looking at current store logos I wanted to do something more clean and sophisticated.

I'm currently working on the new logo, but over the weekend I went to east village and picked out a few buildings that I liked for my store.

Synopsis
Overall, I was really happy with the way my post cards turned out. I was confused as to how I was going to execute my final two and how they would connect with my first two, but I think I figured out a way to make them all relatable. I like how I took the same approach to each card, I believe that was key into making them combine.
Class Critique/Synopsis
During class Critique we talked about not using buildings that are so well known, because that would insinutate that my cards were more directed towards traveling. So instead I picked two more architectural based buildings while I was abroad. What I wanted to make clear in the way I was designing, is that I wanted to take a piece of work (the photos) and create something completely different. I look at design as being able to think of new ideas and thinking outside the box. I design to design, for this project I kind of figured out I had no formal way of going into this project. I took pieces and I assembled them together to create something new.

Progress
So far I have almost completed two post cards. What I've been doing with all my postcards is taking images from well known places and taking them apart based on their shapes to create a new design. I want to incorporate the aspect of surprise and anticipation. So I put the new design on the front of the postcard and then the original photograph on the back. I still have some final details to work out on the first two and I need to complete the second two images, but I'm excited to get feedback from everyone to see what I can change and incorporate more.
